I am a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC with a BFA in Graphic Design. During college, I worked in the art department’s computer lab managing the facilities and equipment. I also started my own freelance design business to support my way through college. After graduating, I was hired as a graphic designer for the design firm Fuel, in Greenville, SC. At Fuel, I collaborated on projects that ranged from designing websites to business collateral. I was also responsible for managing the company’s computers and network.

In 2002, I took a graphic design position at Plan B Marketing. While there, I developed marketing materials for a variety of clients ranging from sporting goods to financing. As the company grew, so did my responsibilities and input into how the company operated. In 2003, Plan B Marketing restructured the company’s business model. I was integral to this process, providing insight into the new company’s name, branding and operations needed to carry out the new business plan. As a result, Highwire – a brand development firm – was launched and I was promoted to Senior Designer. My role as Senior Designer included concepting brand and marketing strategies for clients, designing and executing websites and collateral materials based on those strategies, and managing junior designers and freelancers related to these projects.

In April 2005, Highwire took on a new partner and a new name: Harrison|Kohn. As a result my responsibilities became more focused on brand building and conceptual developments for HK's clients. All the while, I still saw the development of those ideas by designing and programing websites, concepting and supervising photoshoots, designing and supervising printed materials.

After my time at HK, I went back to work at Fuel doing primarily high end real estate collateral materials until I was offered a job as an Art Director at Brains on Fire in August of 2006. At Brains on Fire, I primarily worked on an account for Don Pablo's and Hops restaraunts, but in slower times I had the opportunity to develop a few website concepts and various print pieces.

Now I've decided to venture out on my own and take on freelancing as a career. If you think I'd be a good fit for your next project, please contact me.
